About us
Before Jackie and Andrew bought The Inn at Penallt they spent three years searching the Wye Valley, looking at pubs which had all the potential to become the traditional pub and restaurant they wanted run.
They wanted to establish a pub and restaurant in an area which would suit their way of life, offer an abundance of local food produce for the restaurant and where they could find excellent local real ale, cider and wine.
Andrew and Jackie discovered The Bush Inn at Penallt and although the pub had become a little run down they knew it was the place for them. Located in the heart of the village of Penallt, between Chepstow and Monmouth the pub offered stunning views of the Wye Valley and a large open garden. They set about restoring it to the welcoming traditional country pub and restaurant they knew was right for them.
Having achieved all they set out to do they are now pleased to offer a warm welcome to locals and visitors, families with children, walkers, cyclists, and visitors on holiday looking for overnight bed and breakfast, or even as a longer base for a holiday in the Wye Valley and nearby Forest of Dean.
Jackie and Andrew have now established an excellent reputation for serving top quality restaurant and bar food, real ales brewed in the Wye Valley, local ciders and excellent affordable wines from smaller estates and producers.
